The best turkey burger I ever had…

close up shot of a burger on a bun with tomato, avocado, mayonnaise and sproutsWhat’s better in the summertime than a good burger straight off the grill? How about a great burger straight off the grill that has less saturated fat, is high in protein, has a delicious flavor, is made of all natural ingredients and doesn’t leave you feeling like you over ate? That’s what I was lucky enough to discover recently from my friends at Rastelli Foods. I was down at the Rastelli location in Southern New Jersey a few months ago and tasted their All Natural All Breast Meat Turkey Burger. I was blown away - super juicy, delicious with a true turkey flavor, unbelievably juicy, subtly seasoned and SO JUICY! It was far and away the best turkey burger I had ever had!

So… lucky me, Rastelli’s has agreed to offer the turkey burgers on QVC under the Blue Jean Chef umbrella. These will launch on Monday, June 25th at 5pm ET.

The best part (next to the juiciness) of this burger is the way it’s made. Instead of crushing the ground meat into a flat patty, Rastelli’s uses a method that gently presses the meat into a patty that really looks like a hand-packed patty. Why do I care? Well, because it means that the burger doesn’t shrink as it’s cooked. These burgers look perfect coming off the grill or out of a sauté pan - no balled up round burgers, no skinny hockey puck burgers - and they hold their moisture beautifully.

Another thing I love about this burger (aside from the fact that it is SO juicy - have I mentioned that?), is that it is a perfect canvas on which to create any style of burger to suit any mood. Here are some ideas on toppings to get you started with these delicious Rastelli Turkey Burgers …. why not leave me a comment with your favorite style of burger?

  3. Hi Herb,
Yes! They are gluten-free. There are no fillers or preservatives. The only ingredients are all-natural turkey, garlic, salt and pepper!

  4. Hi Lorraine. For a 6oz patty (most patties out there are 4oz if you’re comparing), the calories are 280 with 38g of protein. The fat content is 13g and 0 carbs. What I like best is that it’s an all-natural turkey burger that is minimally processed with nothing in it but turkey breast meat, garlic, salt and pepper.
