Peppered Maple Bacon Knots
Author: The Blue Jean Chef, Meredith Laurence
Serves: 6 to 8

Never has bacon been prettier to present! Just a simple tie and then seasoned with pepper and maple syrup and we have a winner!
Ingredients
  • 1 pound maple smoked bacon
  • ¼ cup maple syrup
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • coarse freshly cracked black peppercorns
Instructions
  1. Cut the bacon strips in half and tie each half in a loose knot. Place on baking sheet.
  2. Combine the maple syrup and brown sugar in a bowl. Brush each knot generously with this mixture and sprinkle generously with freshly cracked black pepper.
  3. Pre-heat the air fryer to 390ºF.
  4. Air-fry the bacon knots in batches Place one layer of knots in the air fryer basket and air-fry for 5 minutes. Turn the bacon knots over and air-fry for an additional 2 minutes. (Cook an additional 1-2 minutes if using thick cut bacon.)
  5. Serve warm.
