Mini Cherry and Cheese Streusel Tartlets

  • Prep Time: 20 m
  • Cook Time: 19 m
  • Total Time: 39 m
  • Servings:
    6

Ingredients

  • 6 ounces cream cheese softened
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 6 packaged mini graham cracker tartlet crusts
  • 2 cups cherry pie filling
Streusel Topping
  • 5 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/3 cup walnuts chopped
  • 3 tablespoons melted butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat air fryer to 330°F.
  2. Combine the cream cheese, sugar, egg, flour and vanilla extract in a bowl and mix until smooth. Pour the cream cheese mixture into the bottom of the tartlet shells. Air-fry three tartlets at a time at 330ºF for 4 minutes.
  3. In a separate bowl, make the streusel topping by combining the flour, sugar, cinnamon, walnuts and melted butter. Toss the mixture with a fork until it forms small crumbles. Set aside.
  4. Spoon two tablespoons of the cherry pie filling into each tartlet, on top of the cheese layer and then sprinkle each one with the streusel topping. Return the tartlets to the air fryer in batches and air-fry the tartlets at 330ºF for an additional 15 minutes, until the topping is golden brown.
  5. Serve warm or at room temperature with some whipped cream if desired.

    1. Hi Deborah. I have both a 3.4 quart and the 5.3 qt sizes. It really depends on what I’m cooking, but for something like this, the larger air fryer is easier.

    1. Hi there. I haven’t tested them in the oven, but I recommend trying them at 300ºF for 6 to 10 minutes and then an additional 20 minutes at 300ºF. Let me know how it goes.

    1. This recipe is made in 3-inch tart shells. You can either make the crusts from scratch or purchase ready-made mini pie crusts.

Just took them out of the airfryer…I wish I could have figured out how to add a picture…but, take my word for it, they look amazing! Thank you Chef!

These were very easy to make and very tasty. The only comment I have concerns the cheesecake mixture. It seemed like it made too much filing for the 6 shells and when air frying these, they needed more time than 4 minutes. This wasn’t a huge problem because I just continued to check them every minute.

    I’ll make them again

    1. The tartlet shells may be different sizes. Next time you could cut the recipe down or make more tartlets. Unfortunately, all air fryers are a little different just like regular ovens, so more time may be needed for some units.
